Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

These terms and conditions apply to all work carried out by The MOT and Service Hub, 3 Amenity Way, London, SM4 4AX. By booking a service or leaving your vehicle with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

Bookings and estimates

All bookings are subject to availability and are confirmed only when we have spoken with you directly or sent written confirmation. Any estimate provided is based on the information available at the time and may be subject to change once work has commenced and the full extent of any issue becomes apparent. We will always contact you before proceeding if the cost is likely to exceed the agreed estimate.

Authorisation of work

We will not carry out any repair or additional work beyond what has been agreed with you without your prior approval. If during the course of an inspection or service we identify further work that we believe is necessary or advisable, we will contact you to explain the findings and obtain your authorisation before proceeding.

You have the right to decline any additional work. Where work is declined, we will note this on your invoice and return the vehicle in the condition it was received, subject to any agreed work already completed.

Payment

Full payment is due upon collection of your vehicle. We accept cash and major debit and credit cards. We do not offer credit accounts unless agreed in writing in advance.

We reserve the right to retain your vehicle until payment has been made in full. Any outstanding balance not settled at the time of collection may result in storage charges being applied (see Storage section below).

Warranty on parts and labour

We provide a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first) on all new parts supplied and fitted by us, and on the labour associated with their installation. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and operating conditions.

This warranty does not cover:

• Fair wear and tear • Damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect, or failure to follow our recommendations • Faults arising from subsequent work carried out by another party • Parts that have reached the end of their expected service life

To make a warranty claim, please contact us as soon as the issue arises. We may need to inspect the vehicle before authorising any remedial work.

Customer-supplied parts

We do not fit parts supplied by customers. This policy is in place to protect both our customers and our business — if a customer-supplied part were to fail and cause damage or injury, it would not be covered under our public liability insurance.

All parts used in your vehicle's repair or service will be sourced by us, ensuring they are of appropriate quality, correctly specified, and fully covered under our 12-month/12,000-mile warranty.

Vehicle storage

Once we have notified you that your vehicle is ready for collection, we ask that you collect it within 48 hours. After this period, we reserve the right to apply a storage charge of £25 per day (or part thereof) to cover the cost of space on our premises.

If a vehicle remains uncollected for an extended period without communication from the owner, we reserve the right to take further action in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.

MOT testing

MOT tests are carried out in accordance with DVSA standards and guidelines. An MOT pass certificate confirms that your vehicle met the minimum legal roadworthiness requirements at the time of the test. It does not constitute a guarantee of the vehicle's overall mechanical condition.

We will advise you of any advisory items noted during the test. Repair work following a failed MOT is subject to a separate quotation and requires your approval before any work begins.

Our liability

We take every reasonable care of vehicles left with us. However, we cannot accept liability for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents caused by circumstances beyond our control, including fire, flood, theft, or acts of third parties.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the services we provide shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
